Imaging Methods

The MIC-LM offers cutting-edge microscopy technologies, including high- and super-resolution fluorescence microscopy techniques such as confocal, fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), FLIM-FRET, SR-SIM, PALM and dSTORM.

These imaging modalities are complemented by live-cell imaging as well as automated high-content and screening systems.

Imaging Modalities:

  • Super-Resolution Microscopy
    • Structured Illumination Mircroscopy (Lattice and Stripe-SIM)
    • Photoactivated Localization Microscopy (PALM)
  • Confocal Laser-Scanning microscopy (LSM)
  • Fluorescence Lifetime Microscopy (FLIM)
  • Holotomographic Microscopy
  • Cell-Population Microscopy
  • Live-Cell Imaging

Imaging Methods:

  • Multi-Color Imaging
    • 4-channel Imaging with 4 distinct Laser-Lines (SR-SIM and confocal LSM)
    • Multi-channel Imaging with
      • Spectral Imaging and linear unmixing (Zeiss Lamda mode)
      • Fluorescent Lifetime Imaging
      • Extended Red Range
  • Intracellular and intraorganelar Calcium-Imaging
  • Fluorescent recover after photobleaching (FRAP)
  • Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS)
  • Total Internal Reflection Microscopy (TIRF)
  • Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET and FLIM-FRET)
  • Organoid- and Spheroid-Imaging
  • Multi-User, high-content HD-Phase Contrast and Fluorecence Microscopy
